Dale L. Tungsvik

Dale L. Tungsvik, age 67 of Northfield, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21 at the Norseland Lutheran Church in Norseland. Rev. Kyle Madson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Dale was born on April 16, 1950 to Orville and Doris (Burnett) Tungsvik in St. Peter. He grew up on the family farm in Norseland, and graduated from St. Peter High School in 1969. Dale lived in St. Cloud most of his adult life working in the V.A. Hospital's cafeteria. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, and playing baseball in his younger years. Dale is survived by his siblings, Merlin (Laurie) Tungsvik of Faribault, Robert (Susan) Tungsvik of Roseville, Vickie Tungsvik of Minneapolis, and Arleen Savage of St. Louis Park; nieces and nephews, Corey (Kim) Boerger, Holly (Ryan) Bode, Natalie (Alex) Cook, Erik Tungsvik, Sara Savage, and Ryan Savage; and many cousins, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Sharon Egli.
