Darrell B. Sellnow

Darrell B. Sellnow, age 69 of Belle Plaine, MN, died on Wednesday morning, Oct. 7, 2020, at Centra Care Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine from 4:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m.  No other services planned at this time.

Darrell was born on January 3, 1951, to Benjamin and Eleanora (Otto) Sellnow in New Prague, MN.  He attended Belle Plaine Schools and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1969.  He worked for a short time in mobile home manufacturing before he began a 43-year career at Green Giant Canning and more recently Siligan Container.  He married Barbara Gartner on June 3, 1972, at St. Anne’s Church in Le Sueur, MN. The couple raised their boys in the Blakeley area and spent many years together at their lake home in Isle, MN. Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, grocery shopping, watching westerns, being at the cabin, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons; Chad (Wanda) Sellnow of Blakeley, MN; Jacob (Angela) Sellnow of Blakeley, MN and Tim Sellnow of Blakeley, MN.  Grandchildren; Taylor (Tyler Pasvogel) Sellnow, Brandon and Trevor Block, Blake Perry, Mackenzie Sellnow, Cole and Shea Sellnow. Great-grandson, Colt Pasvogel. Sisters; Beverly (Manley) Stier of Belle Plaine, MN and Marilyn (Tom) Johnson of Belle Plaine, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents.
