Darwin "Floyd" Shepherd

Darwin "Floyd" Shepherd, age 61 of Henderson, died suddenly on Saturday, August 24, at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 28, from 4-8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Henderson. The evening will end with a short service at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later time. Floyd was born on March 14, 1952 to Norman and Rena (Nielsen ) Shepherd in Dayton, Ohio. He resided in Henderson, MN . He married Audrey Knowles on Dec. 30, 1972 in Minneapolis. He continued his education in auto bodywork and as a machinist. He worked many years in the construction field and also with his father at Shep & Sons Sand and Gravel pit near Belle Plaine for many years. He enjoyed many hobbies including; gardening, hunting, fishing, taking pictures and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved helping family and friends and anyone who needed a hand. He is survived by his wife Audrey.
