David E. Carlson

David E. Carlson, age 75 of Belle Plaine, died at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home on Monday, October 8, 2018. Memorial services will be on Friday, October 12, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, MN. Visitation with coffee, juice and rolls will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Belle Plaine, MN. David was born on September 27, 1943 to Emil D. and Johanna (Klenzendorf) Carlson in St. Paul, MN. He went to country and public schools in Belle Plaine and Trinity Lutheran School. He farmed with his father and brothers for many years. In 1985 he began farming for Lowell Schmitz until recently. David enjoyed farming, watching American Pickers on the History Chanel and was known by many as "Butch' and/or "Tex". He is survived by his siblings; Judy Sickmann of Glencoe, MN; Richard (Nancy) Carlson of Belle Plaine, MN; Ted (Carol) Carlson of Starbuck, MN; Janet Carlson of Belle Plaine, MN and Joyce (Cliff) Hughes of Shakopee, MN. Many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Carlson.
