David Alan Fabel

David A. Fabel, age 77 of Belle Plaine, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at his home. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9 at St. Paul's U.C.C. in Henderson with Rev. Deb Meyer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. David was born on December 18, 1939 to Conrad and Alice (Wolters) Fabel in Nicollet Co., MN. He married Eleanore Solmonson on May 3, 1990 at the Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine. He took great pride in working for Scott County handling the county's road maintenance. He was heavily involved in his community organizations that included: BBQ Days, the Oakwood Cemetery Board, and the Presbyterian Church Board to name a few. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. David is survived by his wife, Ellie; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne Fabel and Dale Schmitt of Shakopee; step-children, Vicki (Terry) Rion of Sun City, AZ, Ross (Rosanne) Lehne of Chaska, Debbie (Tom) La Tour of Carver, Paul Lehne of Chaska and Jerry (Lisa) Lehne of New Prague; brother, William (Leona) Fabel of Belle Plaine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Chester. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Sharon; and brother, Robert Fabel.
