Deanna M. Proehl

Deanna M. Proehl, age 79 of Le Sueur, died on Sunday morning, October 22, 2017 at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato. Memorial services will be on Thursday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, (105 Hosanna Dr.). Visitation will be prior to the services at church from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Following the service, there will be a lunch followed by burial at Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur, MN. Deanna was born on December 3, 1937 to Arnold and Ella (Beneke) Oelfke in Hamberg, MN. She grew up in the Hamberg area and graduated from Hamberg High School. She married Henry Proehl on July 2, 1960 in Hamberg, MN and the couple lived in Green Isle for a short time were she worked at the local bank. Together they build their dream home west of Le Sueur, MN in 1966 where they lived for over 50 years. She worked for Minnegasco for over 30 years in Customer Service. Deanna enjoyed painting, scrap booking, football games, gardening and going to Myrtle Beach every February for over 30 years. She was very proud of her grandchildren. Erich who is serving in the United States Marine Corp, Evan with his high school football and the "Drama" that came with Ellie. She is survived by her daughter; Staci (Tony) Bergemann of Lake Crystal, MN. Grandchildren; Erich, Evan and Ellie Bergemann. Sister, Ardene (Dick "Lucky") Bigouette of Hamberg, MN and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, 1966, son Peter, 2001 and husband, Henry in 2004.
