Deborah Kay Stier

Deborah Kay Stier, age 58 of Belle Plaine, died at the University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. Memorial services will be on Monday, October 5, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, MN. Visitation will be at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate the services. She was born on November 10, 1956 to Miles and Roselyn (Filipek) Sembauer in New Prague, MN. She grew up in Montgomery, MN graduating from Montgomery High School in 1975. She married Ray Stier at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on June 30, 1979. The couple lived in Shakopee for one year and Jordan for a couple of years before settling in Belle Plaine in 1983. She did administrative work for many years at various jobs. Deb enjoyed her volunteer work as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader. She especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Ray, children; Angie Calistro of Coon Rapids, MN; Tasha Stier & her fiancé, Ryan Timmerman of St. Peter, MN; Serena (Scott) Davis of Belle Plaine, MN and Tyler Stier and his significant other, Jamie Nygaare of Montgomery, MN. 9 grandchildrern & 1 on the way; Tyberius & Meredyth Haglund; Hailie, Alexia and Raymond, "R.J." Wentworth; Summer & Dominic Davis & Peighton, "P.J." Stier. Mother, Roselyn Sembauer of Montgomery; siblings, Darvin Sembauer of Faribault, MN; Trudy Sembauer of Le Center, MN and Sally (Bob) Turek of Montgomery, MN. Many other friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law, Margaret Stier; brother, Bud Sembauer and sister-in-law, Kay Sembauer and one infant brother.
