Debra Ann Tellijohn

Debra Ann Tellijohn, age 62 of St. Peter and formerly of Le Sueur was called to heaven on Friday, April 20 after a hard-fought battle with cancer that she was diagnosed with in November of 2016 as well as complications of heart disease and diabetes. She was strong and kept a smile on her face despite the situation. She was devoted to her husband, Leon and her family, Sabrina, Travis, Crystal, Tanner, Peyton and Adam. Debra was born on January 30, 1956 in New Prague to Joseph and Dorothy (Schlingmann) Simota. She graduated from LeSueur High School and married Leon Tellijohn on April 21, 1979 in St. Peter. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, listening to music, sewing, embroidering, spending time with her grandsons, and having girls time out with Sabrina. Survivors include her husband, Leon; sons, Adam Tellijohn, and Travis (Crystal) Tellijohn and their sons, Tanner and Peyton; daughter, Sabrina Tellijohn; brothers, Joe (Darla) Shimota, Roger (Mary) Simota, Mike (sp. friend, Leslie Bode) Simota, Robert (Lori) Simota, and Mark Simota; special friends, Amanda and Justin Draeger and their children Kale and Sophia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lynn; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in LeSueur. Interment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
