Delmar E. Trebesch, age 80 of Belle Plaine died on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia, MN. Funeral Services will be on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 30, Kolden Funeral home from 4-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Delmar was born on May 2, 1931 to Frank and Sena (Albertson) Trebesch in Springfield, MN. He attended public and parochial schools in the Sanborn, MN area. He entered the United States Marine Corp. in 1952 serving for two years during the Korean Conflict. He returned home in 1954 and married Bonnie Kopischke at First Lutheran Church in Brookings, South Dakota, April 26, 1954. The couple lived in Clements, MN for many years and worked for a short time at the Springfield Mill and later was a lineman for the Rural Electric Corporation. Then the couple moved to Sanborn, MN. He worked for Don Hogen Construction and later began his own business. The couple moved to Henderson, MN in 1973 where he began work with Soeffker Construction for about 9 years. He later moved to Arlington, MN where he again began his own construction business (Trebesch Construction) and retired at the age of 62. He continued to do part time work when he was able. He was a 53 year member of the Sanborn American Legion, Past Sanborn Fireman and retired Winthrop Army Reserve Member. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; Children,Michael (Debbie) Trebesch of Winthrop, MN, Steven (Tammy) Trebesch of Hamburg, MN, James Trebesch of Delavan, MN, Bill (Janell) Trebesch of Granada, MN, Joy (Robert) Schwanke of Glencoe, MN, Jill (Curt) Vorlicek of Biscay, MN, John (Monica) Trebesch of Hamburg, MN, Robert Trebesch of Hamburg, MN, Kipp (Deb) Trebesch of Green Isle, MN, Joel Trebesch of Belle Plaine, MN, Precious Stier of Belle Plaine, MN and Mark Trebesch (special friend, Jen Zurn) of Henderson, MN; 17 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings,Donna Collins of Ramsey, MN, Rolly (Ellie) Trebesch of Eugene, Oregon and Frank (Ellie) Trebesch Jr. of Sanborn, MN He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Adolph Trebesch.
