Delores Marie Stier

Delores M. Stier, age 80 of Belle Plaine, died Monday, April 30, 2018 at her home in Belle Plaine. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Delores was born on January 15, 1938 to Walter and Emma (Mehlhop) Bussmann in Norwood, MN. She graduated in 1956 from Central High School in Norwood. She married Myron Stier on May 28, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township. She lived in Belle Plaine where she raised their four children. Delores had a strong work ethic which led her to working various jobs and as long as she could up until 2012, she enjoyed staying busy. She was an avid Twins fan, and made wonderful sweets especially her apple bars. She loved polka music, traveling and camping. Delores enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Delores is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron in 2011; brother & sister-in-law, Walter & Mary Ann Bussmann; and brother-in-law, Carl Ingebrigtson. She is survived by her children, Allen Stier, Ronald (Kim) Stier, Karen Richards, and Robert Stier all of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Cassie (Joe) Kube, Crystal Stier, Corbin (Kara) Richards, and Ryan Stier (special friend, Natalie Babcock); great-grandchildren, Austin & Claire Kube; nieces & nephews; and in-laws, Manley (Bev) Stier of Belle Plaine, and Mabel "Toby" Ingebrigtson of Delano.
