Dennis Allen Gold

Dennis Allen Gold, age 65 of Arlington, died on July 18, 2011 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato. Memorial service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, July 22 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Pastor David Rohde will officiate. Dennis was born in Oakland, California on July 4, 1946 Fredrick and Elizabeth (McMenomy) Gold. When he was young he delivered newspapers. As he grew older he sold Christmas trees and Christmas cards. In his teen years he participated in the plays, Fiddler on the Roof and Wizard of Oz and always dreamed to go to New York and watch the Broadway musicals. Dennis lived most of his life in California and Washington. While in Washington, he worked for Boeing in administration until he became too sick to work. He recently moved to Minnesota and has been living at Arlington Good Samaritan. He had a passion for singing, music and records. He loved his children, grandchildren and spending time with them. Dennis was a real family man. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jay. He is survived by his children, Michael (Dawn) Gold of Port Orchard, WA, Diane (Steve) Rohde of Blakeley, MN 8 Grandchildren, Tyler, Mallory, Bria, Colby, Nicholas, Moriah, Jessica and Alexis; Brother, Richard Gold of San Leandro, CA, Sister, Janice Gold.
