Dolores Thomason

Dolores Thomason, age 85 of Belle Plaine, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Memorial Mass will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, April 5 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place in Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Dolores was born on the family farm in St. Thomas on December 5, 1928 to Anton Tony and Anna (Buesgens) Soller. She attended Sts. Peter Paul Catholic School until 8th grade and then Belle Plaine High School. On November 8, 1947 she married Gordon Bud Thomason at Sts. Peter Paul in Belle Plaine. Dolores and Bud had 10 children. She loved to bowl, go on short trips, loved watching and attending all sports. She was a homemaker, waitress and babysitter. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Leon Thomason, grandson, Ryan Fest, brothers, Bert, Ed, Wally and Dave Soller, sisters, Evelyn Hauer, Anna Mae Hermann, and former husband Gordon Thomason. Dolores is survived by her children, Linda (Rob) Ernst-Ziehwein, Lois Kechely, Lloyd Thomason, Lynn (Kathy) Thomason, Lori (Dale) Krekelberg, Lisa (Steve) Pobuda, Lila Thomason, Larry (Lisa) Thomason, Lana (Barry) Wohler, 23 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, Brother, Robert Baker Soller, Sister, Darlene (Don) Antonson, Sister-in-law, Cora Soller, Nieces, Nephews, Many Friends.
