Donald A Becker

Donald A. Becker, age 86 of LeSueur died on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Comfort Residence in LeSueur.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in LeSueur.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 19 at the Kolden Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.  Interment, with military rites provided by the LeSueur Honor Guard will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur.

Donald was born on November 1,  1932 in LeSueur to Walter and Ella (Borchardt) Becker.  He graduated from LeSueur High School and entered the U. S. Navy serving on aircraft carriers around the world.  After his honorable discharge he graduated from Mankato State College in Mankato.  He married Janet Firle on June 21, 1958 in Fairfax, Minnesota. They lived in LeSueur, Fox Lake, Wisconsin and returned to LeSueur in 1982.   He was an accountant for the Green Giant/Pillsbury Company and also worked for Honeymead in Mankato.   Don was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion and enjoyed golfing, watching sports and time spent with family.

He is survived by his daughters, Vicki (Dean) Lerum of Herbster, Wisconsin, Cindy Becker of Eden Prairie, Ronda (David) Brostrom of Prior Lake and Deb (John) Stevens of N. Mankato.

5 Grandchildren,  Eric and Adam Lerum, Riley and Tatum Brostrom and Makia Stevens.

5 Great-Grandchildren,  Brayden, Samuel, Natalie, Kinslee and Maddux Lerum

2 Sisters, Doris Felmlee of LeSueur and Shirley Kreger of Chanhassen

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet in 1991 and a sister, Eleanor Hanson
