Donald Keith Distel, age 90 of LeSueur and Sun City, AZ, died on December 28, 2022 at Banner Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Arizona. A Celebration of Life gathering and lunch will be held at the LeSueur Country Club on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from Noon to 4 p.m. Memorials are preferred to LeSueur Mound Cemetery Association. www.koldenfuneralhome.com
Donald was born on January 10, 1932 in LeSueur to Norris “Doppy” and Della (Dressel) Distel. He graduated from LeSueur High School attended at Mankato State College and Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter. He married Janet Davis and they later divorced. He married Corinne Ruppert on July 21, 1989. Donald farmed for a time and founded and was a proprietor of Distel Grain for 6o years. He was a hard-working, charitable and progressive business man. Donald was a director of the Mound Cemetery Association for many years. He enjoyed golfing at the LeSueur Country Club, time spent at his cabin, four-wheeling in Minnesota and Arizona with friends, bowling on the KRBI team and entertaining his family and many friends. Donald was also a retired twenty-year member of the LeSueur Fire Department and enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball.

Sister-in-law, Janet (Clarence) Gelhaye of Shakopee
Brother-in-law, Tom (Beth) Ruppert of Sun City, AZ
Best friend and business partner, Tom (Sue) Doherty of Madison Lake.
Nieces, nephews and their spouses.
Donald was preceded in death his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Ann Louise Distel.
