Donald Donovan

Donald Donovan, age 78 of Belle Plaine, died on November 7, 2013 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment will be in Sacred Heard Cemetery, Belle Plaine, MN. Fr. Thomas Joseph will officiate the Mass. Donald was born on July 7, 1935 to Leo & Margaret (Glynn) Donovan in New Prague, Minnesota. He grew up on a farm in the Union Hill area. He was tragically paralyzed in an auto accident when he was 21. He has lived in various assisted living facilities for the last 32 years, most recently The Belle Plaine Lutheran Home. Donald is survived by his brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Donovan of Chaska, MN and sister, Geraldine Pauly of Chanhassen, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo & Margaret Donovan; brother, John Donavan and sister, Marie Dammen.
