Donna M. Guertin

Donna Mae Guertin, age 90 of Le Sueur, died on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN.  Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church in Le Sueur.  Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  We will then process to St. Anne’s Church for the 11:00 a.m. mass.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN.

Donna was born on May 9, 1930 to Julius and Augusta (Rau) Braun in Tyrone Township, Le Sueur County.  She attended country school in Le Sueur County and graduated from Le Center High School.  On August 23, 1950 she married her true love and soul mate, Ivan Francis Guertin at St. Anne’s Church in Le Sueur. She worked at Cliff’s Hilltop and did seasonal work in the Employment office for Green Giant.  She was a lifetime member and a long-time volunteer at the Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Association and she was an active member of St. Anne’s Church in Le Sueur.  Donna had a great love of animals, and was especially known for rescuing many stray, sick, and injured cats. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved and cherished her time with her family and friends more than anything in life.

Donna is survived by her children; Bruce (Mary) Guertin, Brian (LuAnne) Guertin of Le Sueur and daughter; Beth (Bill) Nault of White Bear Lake, MN.  7 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan in 2006 and 8 siblings.
