Donna M. Iten

Donna M. Iten, age 85 of LeSueur, Minnesota died on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in LeSueur. She was born on March 15, 1929 in New Ulm to Frank and Julia Sellner. She graduated from high school in New Ulm. Donna married Thomas Iten on February 5, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. They lived in LeSueur all of their married life. She worked at several restaurants and at Cliff's Hilltop grocery. Donna was active at St. Anne's Church, School and C.C.W. and served as social coordinator for many events at St. Anne's School and was known for preparing her famous " hot dish" for funerals. Donna was a member of the hospital auxiliary and enjoyed crossword puzzles, solitaire, baking and cooking. She is survived by Children Steve (Sara) Iten of Le Sueur, MN, Barb Iten of Le Sueur, Tim Iten of Cleveland, MN, Greg Iten of Ottawa, MN, Sue Iten of Minneapolis and Amy (John) Coughlin of Richfield, MN; 10 Grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Paul (Claudia) Iten, Jack (Carol) Iten, Barb (Art) Straub and Janie Sellner and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom in 2013 and 2 brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur at 11 a.m. Fr. Kenneth O'Hotto will celebrate the mass. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation is from 4 to 7p.m. on Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur with a 4 p.m. C.C.W. Rosary. Visitation will continue until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
