Donna Jean Johnson, 74, of LeSueur, Minnesota passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at her home. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 21 at First Lutheran Church, LeSueur. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20 at Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Donna was born on May 9, 1940 in Mankato to Alice (Peterson) and Casey VanderLouw. She attended Lake Crystal and LeSueur public schools and graduated from LeSueur High School in 1958. In October, 1958 she was married to Wayne Francis Johnson at First Lutheran Church, LeSueur. Donna was a woman for others. She never stopped doing good things for other people whether it was cooking, sewing, volunteering, lending a listening ear, giving thoughtful gifts or including them in her daily prayers. She loved architecture, travel, good food, good books but most of all she loved her family. Her graceful and giving nature had a positive effect on all those she met and because of this the world is a better place. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne of LeSueur; four children, Patrick Johnson (Ramona Peter) of West St. Paul, Mary (Jack) Spear of St. Peter, Amy (Charlie) Jensen of Waconia and Sara (John) Becker of LeSueur; nine grandchildren, Grant, Will, Beau and Ava Becker; Katherine, Connor and Sara Jensen; Rhea Peter; Michael Spear. She is also survived by a brother, Dennis (Beth) VanderLouw of Ocala, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents.
