Donna M. Lafreniere

Donna LaFreniere, age 84 of Belle Plaine, passed away on January 28, 2014 at the Marie Steiner-Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska. Memorial service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday morning. Interment will be at a later date in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Donna was born in Minneapolis on June 17, 1929 to Roy and Florence (Holcomb) Pierce. She grew up in North Minneapolis. On August 20, 1949 she married Joseph LaFreniere. Donna worked as a machine operator in the textile manufacturing industry. Most recently working in Minneapolis at S.I.S. where she made drapery and pillow cases until her retirement in 2009. She has resided in Belle Plaine for the last 10 years. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Grace Lavinge and brother, Bob Pierce. Donna is survived by her children, Barbara (John) Peterson of Coon Rapids, MN, Kathy (Joseph) Heckman of Montgomery, MN, Joseph LaFreniere of Stacy, MN, Teresa (Larry) Donaghue of Harris, MN, Gerald LaFreniere of Sturgeon Lake, MN, 17 Grandchildren, 44 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Brother, Earl (Eloise) Pierce of St. Louis Park, Many Nieces and Nephews.
