Doris Wiese

Doris Wiese, age 99 of Belle Plaine passed away on April 29, 2021 at home in Belle Plaine.  Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.  Rev. Wayne Waibel will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.

Doris was born in Glen Township, Aitkin County on March 8, 1922 to John and Minnie (Lorhmann) Tordsen.  She grew up near Worthington.  On December 5, 1941 she married Harold Wiese in Worthington.  They lived in Bloomington, Jordan and Belle Plaine before moving to Pine River.  Doris moved back to Belle Plaine in the last few years to be closer to family.  She loved reading, collecting butterflies, flower gardening, stamp collecting and knitting.  Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 8 siblings.

Doris is survived by her son, Lowell (Nan) Wiese of Fargo, ND,

Daughter, Randee (Roger) Velishek of Belle Plaine,

8 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren,

Sisters in law, Lue Karstens, Gladys Weibel & Alice Kansanback

Many nieces & nephews.
