Dorothy Margaret Hally

Dorothy M. Hally, age 96 of Waconia, formerly of Belle Plaine, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 am at the church on Friday. Interment will be in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Dorothy was born in Minneapolis on September 27, 1914 to John and Anna (Harrer) Blau. She graduated from Minneapolis North High School. On November 23, 1937 she was united in marriage to Matt F. Hally at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Dorothy and Matt lived in Belle Plaine until 2005, when they moved to Waconia. Dorothy worked for the Scott County Library System as the Belle Plaine librarian from 1960-1974. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Joyce Hally in 1951; parents and 2 sisters, Eleanor Effertz and Melba TerBush. She is survived by her daughter, Rita (Tim) Fahey of Norwood Young America, Son, Frank Hally of Bloomington, Grandchildren, Anna (Nick) Molnau of Belle Plaine, and John T. Fahey of Norwood Young America, Great Grandchildren, Eric, Haley, Logan, Aubrey and Brody Brother, Gene (Mary) Blau of Bloomington and many nieces and nephews.
