Douglas Mckinnon

Douglas McKinnon, age 65 of Belle Plaine and formerly of Hinckley, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Memorial Service will be at 11a.m. on Monday, April 20 at the Lutheran Home Chapel in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be at a later date, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Minnesota Humane Society at www.mnhumane.org Doug was born in Minneapolis on September 17, 1949 to Gordon and Kitty (Max) McKinnon. He grew up in Richfield and graduated from Richfield High School. On March 13, 1971, he married Nancy Gail Siemers. They made their home in Shakopee until her death in 2001. Doug was a devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Kitty, and his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his daughter, Ann McKinnon of Southern Pines, NC, Son, Steve McKinnon of Belle Plaine, Aunt, Mary Jane (Linus) Thell of St. Louis Park, Several Cousins.
