Duane Edward Enbom

Duane E. Enbom, age 69 of Green Isle passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. A gathering of family and friends will be 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12 ^th at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Interment with full military rites will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Duane was born on September 27, 1949 in Menahga to Charles and Arvilla (Cox) Enbom. He attended and graduated from Arlington High School. While in school Duane was involved in track and was a pole vaulter. After graduation he hitchhiked to California. He enlisted into the Marines and was then shipped off to Vietnam. On September 11, 1977 Duane married Susan Braun in Green Isle. This union was blessed with a son, Charles Edward Enbom. Duane and Susan shared 41 wonderful years together before his passing.

Duane is survived by his wife; Susan Enbom, son; Charles Enbom, siblings; Sandy Mathys and Barb Jeno, mother-in-law; Gladys Braun, Susan’s siblings which Duane considered his own siblings and nieces & nephews.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Arvilla, father-in-law; Roger Braun, brother; Clark Enbom, sisters; Sonja Miller and Anna Mae Hotakainen.
