Eathan M. Gilbert

Eathan M. Gilbert, age 13 of Le Sueur, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis as a result of sudden complications from cancer as a young child. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 9 at 3:00 pm at the Word of Life Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be from 3-7pm on Friday, December 8 at the church, and will continue on Saturday afternoon one hour prior to service time at the church. Following the services, interment will take place in Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. There will then be dinner and fellowship held at the church. Eathan was born on December 19, 2003 in Mankato, MN to his parents, Gary & Dianna (Reese) Gilbert. He was a student in the Le Sueur-Henderson School system and was currently a 7th Grader at Le Sueur-Henderson Middle School. Eathan was very active in his school community and his church community. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #9328 in Le Sueur and especially enjoyed his time camping with his scouting friends. Eathan had a special care and love for all of his classmates, scouting friends and adults. His unique way of outreach to others will always be remembered. Eathan is survived by his parents, Gary & Dianna Gilbert of Le Sueur; siblings, Matt Kreuser and his special friend, Tina of Walker, MN, Katherine Kreuser of Wells, MN, Russell Kreuser of St. Paul, MN, Tonisha Gilbert of Thief River Falls, MN, Aaron Gilbert of Mankato, and Jossie Gilbert of Le Sueur; grandparents, Betty LaDuke of Le Sueur, Velma Gilbert of Ft. Meyers, FL, Brian & Chris Geirsdorf of Deer River, MN, and Duane & Jeanette Sunderman of Le Sueur; and many other extended family, relatives, and friends. Memorials are preferred to the local Boy Scout Troop #9328 of Le Sueur and Word of Life Youth Program, (890 Kingsway Dr, Le Sueur, MN).
