Edith Ann Kiewatt

Edith A. Kiewatt, age 79 of Le Sueur, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation will be from 9 am until service time at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in Sharon Township. Edith was born on June 2, 1935 to James and Madeline (Smith) Hyland in Ashland, WI. She graduated high school in Glencoe, MN. She received her nursing training in Mankato. She married Melvin Kiewatt on January 25, 1958 in Butler, WI. She retired from the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling and was always up for a trip to the casino. Edith is survived by her daughters, Susan Felmlee of Le Sueur and Peggy (David) Morgan of Le Sueur; granddaughter, Theresa (Val) Miller of Le Sueur; grandson, Lucas (Miranda) Kiewatt of Bridgeport, NE; great-grandchildren, Ella, Luke and Val Miller and Kolston and baby boy Kiewatt; 2 sisters; 5 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin in '07; son, Jim and granddaughter, Crystal Felmlee.
