Edith M. Schleeve, age 88 of LeSueur died on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Ridgeview Care Center in LeSueur.  She was born on October 1, 1932 in Kelso Township, Sibley County to Paul and Marie (Ehlers) Marquardt.  She attended Rush River country school and graduated from LeSueur High School in 1950.  Edith worked at the LeSueur Creamery until she married Robert Schleeve on July 31, 1955 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Henderson.  They farmed in Sharon Township for many years until they retired to LeSueur around 1996.

She and Robert later joined Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur where she was active in the Ladies Guild.  She also volunteered her time in the community and especially at the Gardenview Nursing Home.  Edith enjoyed sewing, baking, puzzles, seasonal home decorating, dancing, playing cards, ice cream and time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert and children, Paul (Bobbie)Schleeve of LeSueur and Ranae Schleeve of Minneapolis.  3 grandchildren, Corey Stueven, Danielle (Chad) Andresen and Marti (John) Reasor.  6 great-grandchildren, Taylar and Tylar Stueven, Hunter and Abreeana Reasor, McKenna and Alliana Andresen.

Sister-in-Law, Mary Ann Marquardt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William and Joe Marquardt and sister, Marion Woehler.

As a result of the Covid situation, a Celebration of Edith’s life service will be planned in the future.  A private family graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery near the Schleeve family farm.  Koldenfuneralhome.com
