Elaine Viola Muehlenhardt

Elaine V. Muehlenhardt, age 79 of Belle Plaine formerly of Le Sueur, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine on Friday, February 2. Rev. Tim Redfield will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service time at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Elaine was born on November 23, 1938 to Vernon and Viola (Krohn) Otto in Belle Plaine. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. She attended parochial school in Belle Plaine. Elaine married Wesley Muehlenhardt on October 27, 1960 also at Trinity Lutheran Church. They lived in Henderson for a few years, then moved to Le Sueur where they lived for over 40 years. She worked at the hospital in Le Sueur for 17 years. Elaine moved to Belle Plaine in the spring of 2001. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Karen (Jim) Nelson of Pahrump, Nevada; siblings, Helen (Ron) Finch of Owatonna, Roger (Nancy) Otto of Henderson, Ken (Kris) Otto of Belle Plaine, and Dale (Sherre) Otto of Waseca; sister-in-law, Shirley Delzer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and special friends, Barb and Orville Rannow of New Ulm. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley; daughter, Kathy Muehlenhardt; and brother-in-law, Gordon Delzer.
