Elizabeth 'Betty' Sauer

Surrounded by her family Elizabeth (Betty) Sauer passed away peacefully at Garden View Nursing Home in Le Sueur due to age related causes on January 2, 2012. Born on August 29, 1923, in St. Paul, MN, she was the only child of Waldo and Catherine Mangan. She attended schools in Southern Minnesota and graduated from Lake Wilson High School. She married Ray Sauer on January 20, 1943, they lived and worked the St. Peter family farm and raised three daughters. They moved to Le Sueur in 1961. Betty was a wonderful wife and mother, a great cook, was active in church and enjoyed card playing, bike riding, snowmobiling, and games of all kinds. Her greatest pleasure was time spent with her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include, Husband, Ray Sauer; daughters, Kitty Fletcher (Roger), Blue Earth, MN, Bonnie O'Brien (Bill), Deerwood, MN, Linda Claire (Tim), Glen Head, NY , 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was welcomed into the Kingdom of God by her parents, in-laws, her treasured Grandma Kneefe aunts, uncles and grandson Peter. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
