Ella Berger age  99 of Henderson passed away  January 2, 2019  at the Ridgeview Health Center in LeSueur.   Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Henderson on Tuesday,  January 8, 2019 at 11 a.m .  Visitation is  from 9 to 11 a.m.  at the church.  Interment will be in St. Thomas Church Cemetery in Jessenland following the lunch.. Ella was born on July 11, 1919 in Faxon township to Frank and Patricia (Bea) Kelly Bigaouette. She attended Sister School in Belle Plaine through 8th grade and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. On January 3, 1942 she married Art Berger at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Henderson. The couple farmed In Jessenland Township for sixty years.  Ella loved working on the farm with Art. She was active and a willing worker for the church at St. Thomas Jessenland, especially if sewing was needed. She was an excellent seamstress, making many things for her nieces and nephews. On Art's passing in 2002, she moved to Henderson, but her heart stayed on the farm. As her health declined she moved to the nursing home in LeSueur. Preceded in death by parents, husband Art, sister LaRene Kehoe, brothers Bud and Pat Bigaouette, brother-in-laws Cecil Kehoe and Jim Kolter, nephew Mike Kehoe, great nephews Ryan and Brendan Kroehler. Survived by brother Bob (Sylvia) Bigaouette, sister Mary Kolter, sister-in-law Ann Bigaouette, many nieces and nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.  The family wants to thank the Ridgeview Nursing Home staff for their love, care and kindness.
