Elmer J. Boettcher

Elmer J. Boettcher, age 71 of Williams, MN. formerly of Green Isle, died Monday, February 10, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 26, 3:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Erwin Sprengeler will officiate. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements. Elmer Joseph Boettcher was born in New Rome, MN, on October 2, 1940, to William and Leona (Dose) Boettcher. He went to a country school in New Rome, and went on to become a mechanic and welder. He worked at the Standard Station in Arlington, Joe Harnes Garage, Big Stone Canning Company in Arlington, and various other industries. Elmer is survived by his son, Joseph E. Boettcher of Prior Lake, and daughter Rachel (Eric) Wirtz of Cologne, grandsons; Jon, Tristan and Brennan Wirtz, granddaughter Tasha (Eric) Kilen, and great grandson Keegan Kilen. Siblings; Lester (Carol) Boettcher of New Rome, MN, and Albert (Carlene) Boettcher of McGrath, MN.
