Elmer Buszmann

Elmer Buszmann, age 91 of Belle Plaine, passed away on December 27, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.  Funeral Service will be at 11a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Elmer was born in Belle Plaine on June 25, 1928 to George and Emma (Meierbachtol) Buszmann. On June 11, 1952 he married Liela Belter at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carver. They farmed near Belle Plaine all their married life. He loved dancing & listening to polka music, building model horse harnesses, fishing, taking care of his animals.  He especially loved the land he farmed all his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and his wife Liela in 2015.

Elmer is survived by his sons, Gary (Colleen) Buszmann of New Prague, Craig Buszmann of Burnsville, Keith (Dawn) Buszmann of Belle Plaine, 5 Grandchildren, Sara (Brian) Elliott, David (Crystal) Buszmann, Alex (Stacie) Buszmann, Jessica Buszmann, Jeremy Buszmann, 7 Great Grandchildren, Oliver, Lola & Ida Buszmann, Adelyn, Paxton & Hudson Elliott and Julian Buszmann, Nieces & Nephews.
