Elmer Koepp, age 94 of Belle Plaine, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22nd at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Elmer was born in Blakeley on March 4, 1927, to Arthur and Mary (Tesch) Koepp. He grew up on the family farm in Blakeley Township. On October 15, 1947, he married Clara Otto. Elmer farmed most of his life, worked many years at the State Hwy Department, and worked part time at Stier Bus after retirement. Elmer enjoyed spending time on the farm, making memories with his family, and daily coffee with his friends. He spent a lot of time cruising around town on his golf cart. He also enjoyed tending to his beautiful gardens. Elmer’s faith was a very important part of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter Hailey Koepp, wife Clara and daughter in law Nancy, sister & brother in law, Ruby (Martin) Sellnow.
Elmer is survived by his daughter Bonnie Koepp of Burnsville, and son Duane Koepp of Belle Plaine. Grandchildren; Sadie (Steve) Morrison, Jacey (Nicole) Koepp, and Neil (Kelsey) Koepp. Great grandchildren; Sophie Morrison, Kody Fritz, McKenzie & Emma Koepp, Wyatt, Walker, and Charlotte Koepp.
