She was born on August 18, 1918, in Owatonna, MN, the daughter of the late John Leo Farmar and Gladys Phelene (nee Feasting) Farmar. Her mother died when she was only three years old. For a period of time, she and her younger brother, Lyle John Farmar, were "State School Kids", living at the Minnesota State Public School for Dependent and Neglected Children orphanage in Owatonna, which made life difficult for both of them as they grew up. On April 26, 1939, she married Cletus Nicholas Traxler at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. She was a resident at the Sunrise Apartments in Le Sueur for many years following the death of her husband in 1979. Sally's final year was spent in the wonderfully caring hands of the staff at Gardenview Nursing Home in Le Sueur. She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Sullivan of Le Sueur and her special friend Milt Lowe of Mounds View, MN; son and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Sallie Traxler of Compton, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Louise Traxler of Weirton, WV; daughter and son-in-law, Elna and Bob Nyblom of Sac City, IA; and daughter and son-in-law, Nan and Lowell Wiese of West Fargo, ND. Mrs. Traxler was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cletus; sons-in-law, George Sullivan and Bruce Sampson; and her brother; Lyle.
