Elsie Louise Reaume, age 82, passed away on May 7, 2026. Memorial Service is pending.
Elsie was born on June 7, 1943, in St. Peter, MN to Marvin (Speed) and Margaret (Jackie) Belz Reaume. Elsie graduated from Le Sueur High School, where she was known for riding her Dad’s Harley Davidson motorcycle to school and to her job at the Le Sueur Hospital. She attended Rochester Jr. College where she graduated with honors, earning an Associate in Arts Degree as a Medical Secretary.
She spent most of her career as a legal secretary and medical secretary in Colorado and Minnesota. She was an excellent and prolific letter writer and was known as a bubbly and energetic person.
While in her 20’s, Elsie began a lifelong struggle with mental illness. She was not able to continue the career she had chosen but was able to live independently for many years.
Elsie is survived by her sisters Kathleen Reaume of Oklahoma, Nancy Pettman (and Donald Swanson) of West St. Paul, MN and brothers Larry Reaume of St. Paul, MN and Kim Reaume of Plymouth, MN; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Alex Pettman.
