Elverda M. Bird

Elverda M. Bird age 73 of Henderson, died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Benedictine Living Center in St. Peter, MN. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 7, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Henderson. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday morning from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery, Henderson, MN. Lunch to follow burial in the church social hall. Rev. Heidi Wallace will officiate the services. Elverda was born on April 7, 1940 to George and Eleanor (Dieckmann) Otto in Blakeley, MN, (Keystone Township, Scott County). She married Willard Bird on October 1, 1955 at Centennial Lutheran Church in Henderson, MN. She enjoyed sewing, playing bingo and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband, Willard Children;Marcella (Francis) Bartz of Le Sueur, MN Cindy (Larry) Hoppe of Le Sueur, MN Kevin Bird of Henderson and his special friend Linda Piotter of Gaylord, MN Ardella (Steve) Friezen of Arlington, MN Grandchildren;Deanna & Bekah Hoppe Several step-grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; baby girl; brother Marvin Otto and son-in-law Hans Ronning.
