Emma R. Kiemele

EMMA ROSE KIEMELE, 97, entered the presence of her Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2015 while receiving care at the MN Valley Health Center, Le Sueur MN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M., Thursday January 15, 2015 at Kolden Funeral Home- Le Sueur, MN, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be at the Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. She was born March 2, 1917 to Christian J. and Sophie Albrecht, Germans from Russia ancestry, who farmed in Campbell County near Pollock, SD. In 1917, her parents purchased and operated a livery stable and drayage business in the village of Temvik, ND. She and her siblings were reared and educated at Temvik. In 1939 she married Emanuel J. Kiemele and they farmed south of Temvik, ND until 1949 when they moved to Bismarck, ND where she was employed as a seamstress. In 1956 the family moved to Minot, ND where she operated her own custom drapery business for more than thirty years. In Minot she served as a Senior Regent -Women of the Moose Lodge, attended the First Baptist Church and participated with their senior fellowship ministry. In 2010 she moved to Sunrise Plaza, Le Sueur. MN. to live near her sons. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Phyllis) Kiemele of Le Sueur, MN and Allan (Sharon) Kiemele of St. Paul, MN; 6 grandchildren, Heidi (Curt) Greer, Heather (Mike) Felton, Susan (Chris) Anderson, Kent (Nicolle) Kiemele, Todd (Nancy) Kiemele and Peter (Heather) Crilly along with 14 great grandchildren and sister, Helen McHattie and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emanuel; daughter, Carol Crilly; grandson, Jon Kiemele; 6 brothers and 7 sisters.
