Erma Pagel

Erma Pagel, age 88 of Glencoe passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18 ^th from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Arlington Public Cemetery.

Erma Elmira Pagel was born on April 6, 1932 at her parents home in New Auburn Township. She was the daughter of Arthur and Augusta (Kuhnau) Raduenz. Erma was baptized on April 24, 1932 by Rev. William Striepe and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 14, 1946 by Rev. E. W. Mueller both at Zion Lutheran Church in New Auburn Township. She received her education at District 34 also in the country. On June 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Pieschke at Zion Lutheran Church.  This marriage was blessed with three children; Duane, Dlaine and Sandra. Together, Lawrence and Erma shared eight-and-a- half years of marriage until Lawrence passed away on January 22, 1959. Erma married Wilfred Pagel on April 21, 1962. This union was blessed with one daughter, Debra. Wilfred and Erma shared 32 years of marriage together until Wilfred passed away on January 14, 1994. Erma worked at Martin’s Produce in Glencoe, Tonka Toys in Mound and Glencoe Area Health Center, retiring in 1994. Erma enjoyed traveling, flying, camping, snowmobiling, puzzling, reading and sewing. She also liked playing canasta and listening to country music.

Erma is survived by her children; Duane (Jane) Pieschke, Dlaine “Nick” (Linda) Pieschke, Sandy (Howie) McCormick and Deb (Craig) VonBerge, grandchildren; Jen (Jeff) Otto, Jill (Jim) Kriens, Josh Pieschke, Nicholas Pieschke, Lindsey Pieschke, Jeremy (Mila) McCormick, Jody McCormick (friend Brandon), Dale (Melissa) Brenhaug, Mindy (Matt) Kern, Michael (Kristin) VonBerge and Matthew VonBerge, great grandchildren; Zach, Ella, Justice, Aunnaka, Trace, Mason, Carter, Khloe, Maya, Matthew, Mitchell, Logan, Miller, Bryn and Haven, brother, Dennis (Sandy) Raduenz, sister-in-law, Marlys Raduenz.

Erma is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, sisters; Gladys Bergs, Darline Hoecke and Karen Cheever, brothers; Darwin Raduenz and Elmer Raduenz, brothers-in-law; Raymond Bergs and Glenn Hoecke, sister-in-law; Darlene Raduenz, nieces; Deborah Hoecke and ReNae Weber and nephew, Ricky Lee.
