Ernest Otto Quast

Ernest Otto Quast, age 81 of rural Henderson, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Comfort First Residence in Le Sueur. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Ernest was born on January 17, 1937 in Kelso Township, Sibley County to Otto and Lillie (Buesing) Quast. He was baptized at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Henderson and attended District 6 country school. He farmed and also worked and delivered for Year-A-Round Cab Company, the Ready Mix cement company in Arlington, and had retired from working on the railroad. He is survived by his siblings, Ruth Prahl of Le Sueur, Lorenz Quast of Belle Plaine and Mayona Brenke of NYA; sister-in-law, Cindy Quast of Henderson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Quast; brothers-in-law, Clinton Prahl and Walter Brenke; and sister-in-law, Barbara Quast.
