Eugene R. Quinn

Eugene R. Quinn, age 76 of Henderson, died on January 16, 2011 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington. Interment will be in St. Thomas Catholic Church in Jessenland, MN. Gene was born on March 31, 1934 to James and Nellie (McVary) Quinn in Washington Lake Township, Sibley Co., MN. He grew up in Washington Lake Township area and he attended country schools. Gene worked on the family farm and had various jobs over the years. During the summer, he worked at the Green Giant plant for 13 years in LeSueur. He also worked a short time at LeSueur Incorporated. In the fall and winter, he worked for Crystal Sugar Company and for the Gedney Pickle Plant in Chaska. Later, he worked 29 years for Anchor Glass until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers, Marty, Pat and infant brother Maurice. He is survived by his siblings, Marion (Leon) Wellman of Montevideo, MN Jim (Linda) Quinn of Henderson, MN Bernard (Diane) Quinn of Northfield, MN Sister-in-law, Patricia Quinn of Cologne, MN 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
