Evelyn P. Thomason

Evelyn Thomason, age 82 of Belle Plaine, died at her home on Monday, January 31, 2011. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, February 4 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, Rev. John Zeitler will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Thursday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Evelyn was born in Blakeley on June 29, 1928 to Otto and Clara (Neuman) Schmidt. She grew up in Blakeley and attended school there. She married Robert Hugh Thomason on November 15, 1944 in Shakopee. She worked as an aid at the Lutheran Home for many years and was a housekeeper in the metro area for over 40 years. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a lifelong member at Trinity and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery, word finds, bird watching and Wheel of Fortune. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, son, Jerry, siblings, Doc and Erwin Schmidt, 2 grandchildren, Chad Ince and Scott Walerius, and friend, Lyle Ferguson. Evelyn is survived by her children, Beverley (Ray) Ince of Belle Plaine, Janice (John) Walerius of Belle Plaine, Jim Thomason of Prior Lake, Roger (Jean) Thomason of Belle Plaine, Grandchildren, Bob Ince, Karyl Mooney, Cory Ince, Jaymie Meade, Jon Thomason, Lindsey Walerius, Crystal Elthon, Mike Thomason, Aaron Thomason and Lydia Thomason, 13 Great Grandchildren Daughter in law, Kim Thomason, Siblings, Leo (Donna) Schmidt, Irene Kahle and twin brother Evan (Bernice) Schmidt, Sisters in law, Catherine Schmidt and Delores Thomason, Many nieces and nephews.
