Everett J. Nash

Everett J. Nash, age 86, of Le Sueur, passed away on February 3rd, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8th 2024, at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur at 11:00. Visitation will be the same day from 10-11. Pastor Sam Mailleue from First Lutheran Church will officiate.

Everett was born on August 6th, 1937 in Ottosen, IA, to Everett and Alma (Vinaas) Nash. He attended country school in his early years and graduated from Alden, MN high school. After high school he joined the Army Reserves, and later received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota in 1962.  He married Patricia “Patsy” Holcomb on November 29, 1963 in Baytown, TX, before moving to Le Sueur in 1974. Everett worked for Green Giant before working for Big Stone Canning Company in 1976 until his retirement in 2000.

During his retirement he drove bus for many of the local school’s extra curricular activities, as well as the Le Sueur Transit bus for 10 years. Everett was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed woodworking, birdwatching, and was an amazing vegetable gardener with his specialty being tomatoes. He was also a sports fan, in particular cheering for the sports teams from his alma mater.  Everett was a proud husband, father and grandpa who always put family first.

Everett is survived by his wife Patsy, children Becky Nash of St.Paul, MN,  Lisa Smith of Northfield, MN and Kyle (Chris) Nash of Minneapolis, MN, grandchildren Gabe (Kayla) Nash of Le Sueur, MN,  Sydra (Bryan) Ehlers of Boston, MA, and Jacob Nash of Minneapolis, MN, and sister Beverly (Milford) Bohonek of Conger, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin Nash, brother James Nash, and sisters Arlene Jensen and Doris Mesko.
