Florence Meyer, age 98 of St. Peter and formerly from LeSueur died on Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in St. Peter. Mass of Christian Funeral will be on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home with a C.C.W. Rosary starting at 3:45 p.m. The visitation will continue at the funeral home from 8 a.m. on Saturday until 10:15 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in LeSueur. Florence was born on March 6, 1913 to Gust and Anna (Sweda) Meger near LeCenter, MN. She married Wilfred Meyer on October 5, 1931. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and it's Altar and Rosary Society, active in communion ministry and was record keeper for the catholic cemeteries in LeSueur. She worked for Green Giant Company in the cafeteria, jewelry store, SuperValu, and hung wall paper with her sister Magdalen. She was a member of the LeSueur Saddle Club. She was a great cook, known for her Bishop's bread. Florence is survived by her son, Dr. Melvin (Joan) Meyer of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters, Joan Walter of St. Peter and Geraldine "Geri" Meyer of Bloomington; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; son-in-law, Raymond Fay of St. Peter and sister, Lucille Jentz of LeSueur. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred in 1979; daughter, Norma Fay in 1998 and son-in-law, Ralph Walter in 2007.
