Florence Anna Monahan

Florence Anna Monahan, age 90 of Le Sueur, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Gardenview Nursing Home in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Florence was born on April 30, 1920 to Thomas and Caroline (Weber) Monahan in Le Sueur County, Minnesota. She attended St. Anne's Catholic School until the 8th grade, and then graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1938. She worked at Minnegasco as their office secretary. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins baseball team. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mark (Barbara) Monahan of Westminster, CA, Mary Jo (Gary) Muellerleile of Afton, MN, Patricia (Larry) Robran of Cottonwood, AZ and Kevin (Becky) Monahan of Janesville, MN; and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Floyd Monahan; sister, Frances Rheaume; sister-in-law, Idella Monahan; and brother-in-law, William Rheaume.
