Florence G. Plonske

Florence G. Plonske, age 96 of Le Sueur, died Monday, December 19, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, St. Anne's Catholic Church, Le Sueur. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church on Thursday. Interment, Woodland Hills Cemetery, Mankato. Fr. George Grafsky, officiating. Florence was born on June 22, 1915 to Frank and Anna (Benzick) Plonske in Le Sueur County. She attended Le Sueur Schools. She began her working career with Spors Co. in Le Center for several years. At the beginning of World War II she moved to Vernon, California and worked in the Inventory Control Office for Alcoa Aluminum Co. where parts were manufactured for airplanes for the war effort. Following the war she returned to Minnesota and was employed by Texaco Oil Co. in Minneapolis. She worked for 36 years for the Texaco Oil Co. in accounting. She worked in Minneapolis, Chicago and Atlanta. After retiring she returned to Le Sueur, coming home to many relatives and friends. She is survived by her sister Sally Becker of Le Sueur; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Stan, Isidore and Francies (Fritz) Plonske.
