Florence Emma Sellnow

Florence E. Sellnow, age 92 of Belle Plaine, died on November 2, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be 11:00am on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. John Zeitler will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Florence was born in Lydia, MN on November 13, 1919 to Otto and Emma (Wolf) Fehlandt. She grew up in Lydia and attended parochial school. Florence graduated from Jordan High School. On April 23, 1942, she married Murrell Sellnow at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Lydia, MN. They farmed Murrell's family farm in Blakeley Township and lived there all their married life. After the death of her husband, Florence moved to the Boessling Lutheran Home Apartments and later moved to Kingsway. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and canning. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Dale in 1971, and husband Murrell in 2001, siblings, Alvin, John Fehlandt, Ida Latzke, Caroline Sellnow, Hildegard Fehlandt and Adeline Larsen. She is survived by her son, Glenn (Sheryl) Sellnow of Belle Plaine; 2 Grandchildren, Bill (Carrie) Sellnow of Bertha and Shannon Sellnow of Belle Plaine; 3 Great grandchildren, Autumn, Austin and Aaron; Many nieces and nephews.
