Fr. Ambrose Francis Siebenand

Fr. Ambrose Siebenand, age 97 of St. Cloud, formerly of Arlington, died on Monday morning, Sept. 17, at The St. Benedict Senior Center in St. Cloud. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington, MN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 4-7 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue the morning of the Mass at church from 8:00 a.m. until Mass time. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery. Fr. Ambrose was born on June 26, 1915 in Arlington, MN to Charles & Sophie (Haupt) Siebenand. He was baptized on June 27, 1915 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington, MN. The family moved to Madison, MN when he was very young where Ambrose attended schools. He attended and Graduated from the St. Paul Seminary and was ordained on May 31, 1941. He celebrated his first High Mass on June 3, 1941 at St. Michael's Church in Madison, MN. Over the years, Fr. Ambrose suffered injuries in an auto accident that led to his retirement. Fr. Ambrose is survived by the following nieces and nephews. Jerry Elliott, Kay Elliott, Mary Ann (Richard) Kramer, Kathy (Paul) Kulas, Charles (Ann Marie) Siebenand, John Siebenand, John F. (Nancy) Siebenand & Paul Siebenand. He is preceded in death by his parents; Siblings; Al, Bernard "Chick", Fr. John & Helen Elliott.
