Frances R, Schwarz

Frances R. Schwarz, age 88 of LeSueur, passed away on Wednesday, October 03, 2018 at Ridgeview Nursing Home in Le Sueur. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at The United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. Rev. Dean Wolf will officiate. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 5 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Frances was born on February 25, 1930 to Roy and Louise (Steinigeweg) Pinney in Sharon Twp., Le Sueur County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church in Le Sueur. She attended country school through the 7th grade and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1948. Frances graduated from Mankato Teachers College in 1950. She married Elden Schwarz on November 27, 1954 in the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. She taught school in Jackson, MN and Le Sueur until she had children. She was active in the Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, and music. She loved farm life, had a strong faith and loved spending time with family. She was a devoted diary writer and gave over 100 pints of blood. Frances is survived by her husband of 63 years, Elden; children, Carol (Rob) Metz of Lakeville, Janet (Benny) Menton of Dassel, Peggy (Todd) Sullivan of Le Center, and Greg (Joan) Schwarz of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Andy (fiancé Buse Alkan) Metz, Brady, and Cody Metz, Tyler (Megan) Menton, Danny (fiancé Kelly Jahnke) Menton, Mandy (Taylor) Sommerfeld, Molly (fiancéTom Greenheck) and Joe Sullivan, Tom and Allison Schwarz; and two great grandsons, Everett and Samuel Menton, sister in laws, Vivian Pinney, Sharon Pinney, Charlotte Schwarz, Lorraine (Roger) Just, brother in law, Neil (Cletus) Schwarz. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald and Bill Pinney, sister, Mary (Paul) Braun and brother in law, Jake Schwarz. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the United Methodist Church or the Ridgeview-LeSueur Rehabilitation Center.
