 
            Frank J. Ebert, age 72 of Le Sueur, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at his home in Le Sueur. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Another memorial service will be held in Chisholm, MN on Friday, August 17 at the Rupp Funeral Home, 11:00 a.m, visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Chisholm City Cemetery. Born July 1, 1940 in Chisholm as Frank Micheletto. His adopted name of Frank Ebert occurred when his mother, Adela Nosan Michelleto, married Albert Ebert after his father, Joseph Micheletto, died in an underground mining accident when Frank was 4. He graduated from Chisholm High school in 1958. Military service consisted of 8 years in the Army Nation Guard, 3 years active duty and 5 years inactive duty with an Honorable discharge. Frank completed a BS degree in Biology at the University of MN. in 1965 and MS degree in Chemistry at Bemidji University in 1967, a MS degree equivalence in Biology, and minors General Science, Zoology, Botany Psychology and a graduate minor in Microbiology with undergraduate courses in Pre-Dental and Pre-Medical. After being awarded a graduate assistantship in Chemistry, he taught two years of college Chemistry at Bemidji State University. While at Bemidji, he met Joan C. Gessele who became his life-long soul mate and they were married on June 3, 1967. They had one Son, Tony, who was born with brain hypoxia and suffered major physical and mental challenges until his death at age 35. From Bemidji Frank and his family moved to Le Sueur, MN., where he was employed as a Food Research Biochemist at the Green Giant Company. While at Green Giant Co. he also completed a high tech degree in Electronics through the DeVry Institute of Technology. In 1970 he joined the Le Sueur Ambulance Association and was President and served for two terms. He was then requested by the MN. Dept. of Health to be an EMT Instructor under an elite professional group of Instructors called the PRIMS (Professional Rescue Instructors of MN.) Frank dedicated 25 years to teaching EMT classes and was a certified Federal, State, EMT and a Certified EMT Instructor for the MN. Dept. of Health. In 1997 Frank accepted a job at General Mills Inc. James Ford Bell Technical Center as a Research Chemist managing 21 technicians. He was promoted frequently while in the field of Analytical Chemistry attaining the Management level of a section leader. After 17 years he changed careers at GMI and became the Safety Manager, Radiation Safety manager after an extended training course at Harvard, and served as the Emergency Squad manager which included medical, fire, confined space entry, and Hazmat functions. After three years as the Safety manager he changed careers to the Environmental Manager for 8 of the General Mills facilities. He retired in 2003 after 24 years with General Mills and 6 months after the death of his Son. At age 16 Frank became a self-taught accomplished guitarist and created a popular R&R band called "The Reveliers". In 1962 Frank wrote two songs ( I still Love Her' and "The Revel Twist") which were recorded at the Soma recording studio in Minneapolis that reached the top 40 list and eventually inducted the band into the MN R &R Hall of Fame. After retirement Frank learned and accomplished fluently playing the difficult Chet Atkins finger style technique. Franks hobbies were daily two mile walks, exercising with the bow flex, reading, solving mechanical puzzles, and all areas in the medical field. His greatest love and meaning to life was his son Anthony, and his beloved wife Joan. Frank is survived by his wife, Joan; several in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; & son, Anthony.
