Frank Raymond Fettig

Frank R. Fettig, age 87 of Le Sueur, died on Friday, May 16, 2025, at River’s Edge Hospital in St. Peter, MN surrounded by his family.  Memorial Mass will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church in Le Sueur, MN.  Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.  Veterans Honors will follow the Mass outside of St. Anne’s Church.  Lunch will be at St. Anne’s School.

Frank was born on July 6, 1937, to Frank and Magdelena (Doll) Fettig in Aberdeen, So. Dak.  He grew up in Aberdeen, So. Dak. and graduated from Aberdeen High School.  He entered the United States Navy in 1954 and served until his honorable discharge in 1958.  He married Norma Carstens on February 4, 1961, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, So. Dak.  The couple moved to the Le Sueur area in 1973.  Frank worked many years in welding, truck driving and maintenance industries.  He was very proud of his U.S. Navy service, his years in AA and most of all, his family.

He is survived by his wife, Norma. Children; Frank, Tami (Jack) Herrmann, Deb (Eric) Gostomczik, Sue (Tom) Morris and daughter-in-law, Margaret Borer.  10 grandchildren; Tyler, Dylan, Samantha, Ryan, Nick, Jesse (Jennie), Jeremiah (Lindsey), Joshua (Jennyfer) Kyra, and Michael. and 8 great-grandchildren; Dayson, Tristin, Kailey, Chloe, Damion Lennox, Lincoln and Kolten.  Brother, Larry (Shari) Fettig, Sister-in-law Linda and his special cats Hansel and Gretel.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, George, Matt, Marty, Sophia, Maggie, Margaret and Mary and granddaughter Heather.  Parents-in-law and other relatives and friends.
