Frederick Koepp

Frederick Koepp, age 86 of Belle Plaine, died on August 24, 2015 at his home. Funeral Service will be at 11a.m. on Thursday, August 27 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Fred was born on December 9, 1928. He was baptized, confirmed and went to school in the Belle Plaine area. On November 13, 1952 Frederick married Mary Ruehling at New Prague. They lived on a farm in Blakeley Township for 63 years. Fred was active in the community of Belle Plaine with farming events, custodian at St. John Lutheran Church, church council, and family and neighborhood events. His family was a very important part of his life and he was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and most of all his loving wife Mary. He is survived by his wife, Mary, Children, David (Charlene) Koepp of Jordan, Karen (Lynn) Dobesh of Le Sueur, Sharon (Duane) Wolters of Arlington, Allen (Sally) Koepp of Belle Plaine, Brent (Wendy) Koepp of Belle Plaine, 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, Siblings, Earl (Lorraine) Koepp of Belle Plaine, Alverna Laabs of Belle Plaine, Armin (Irene) Koepp of Shakopee, Wesley (LaVonne) Koepp of Belle Plaine, Sanarose (Ron) Krenik of Le Sueur, Lynette Koepp of Belle Plaine, Bill Koepp of Bloomington, Janel Schmidt of Belle Plaine, Sister-in-laws, Harriet Plekkenpol, Betty Jabs and Marilyn Koepp, Many other relatives and friends. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ann Koepp; step mother, Rosella (Blaha) Koepp; brothers: Norman Koepp, Rodney Koepp; brothers in law, Jerry Laabs, Henry Jabs & Carl Plekkenpol, brother in law & sister in law, Caldwell & Leona Ruehling.
